The OMTech Polar and Gweike Cloud are (mostly) Desktop CO2 Lasers
Thanks to OMTech and Gweike for sending me these lasers for review. I was not financially compensated and am not part of any affiliate program from either company. Gweike said I could keep their laser if I join their affiliate program and sell three units through my link, so they get their laser back.

I am ASSUMING that the bearings are oriented sideways because it’s less machining to put one screw mechanism into the block to move them forward and back instead of a yoke And a carriage to have them traverse and stay oriented properly

I..... I'm not sure where to start? Yer a mad scientist, that gets results? I would never want to be in the same room with you using a lathe. You are more intelligent than the tools you use.... that is a compliment, by the way! This is a project that I would have NEVER undertaken. That's what made it awesome! It was insane and incredible at the same time!! I don't know what else to say other than "my hat is off to you mad scientist!"

It works great on cutting acrylic sheets using the diamond blade. I use a 1/2" X 1/2" aluminum angle stock for a guide fence and two small clamps to hold it down. You also need a square ruler to square up the fence.

Had the a350 ever since they were on kickstarter. The only thing worse than this 3 in 1 is the fan base, these people are worse than apple fanboys. Just about everything is proprietary. The cables are hot garbage, the runout sensor (switch) is prone to failure, the linear rails are known to die, the heated bed cable self-destructs, the head cannot be upgraded, you HAVE to use what snapmaker makes.... open source my rear. If you're considering this... don't. If I could go back in time and stop myself from buying it, I would.

I have to say I'm very impressed with this build. The radial arm saw is an INCREDIBLY versatile tool to have in your shop. As the proud owner of 2 of them (1 dedicated to cutting and the other one with a dedicated arbor bit stand) as long as you pay attention to what you're doing and respect the power they have, you can do some pretty incredible things with them.

You can find the length of the wire in the transformer by measuring the resistance then using a chart found online to get the length.

T-track hint - if you really have to hammer it in, use a narrow strip of wood to hammer on so the impact is taken on the solid bottom of the channel, not the more delicate top working edges!

Great analysis. One question I have about the helical head is, the OEM size one needs the cutters removed to install, then put back in, but then, are they no longer even in height as they were when coming from the factory?

I don't. Mean to be hyper critical but i'm going to be. One your feed rate was way too aggressive for that tiny saw. Two it's already having trouble with pine and you go with mahogany. Three I don't think it's meant to cut full wood. I might use it building a birdhouse.
